My Love Affair with Deer Isle began some 30 years ago when I crossed the bridge to the island as John Steinbeck describes in "Travels with Charley" . This was the beginning of a new life and adventure. As an artist and photographer I never tire of the island sights -- how the tides and colors of the ocean change throughout the day turning soft pink and violet with the setting sun -- watching the seagulls swarm around the lobster boats as they arrive at the docks with their daily catch -- visiting the lily pond that most would envy and spotting a blue heron or two -- seeing the sunset over the Pumpkin Islands lighthouse -- visiting Sand Beach with its magnificent view
-- seeing the Windjammers from the days of old enter the bay.
Now My Dreams Have Come True !
